Experience is lost on the AI narration

The story between calliope and Xavier falls a little short. I feel like she should have been a little more timid considering her backstory. And Xavier could have been quite a bit more aggressive given his place in the Spectors. The spicy parts oh buddy! Very detailed and isn’t that what we all want in the dark romance novels! Overall though. The AI narration almost ruins the experience. The pauses occasionally in the cadence of the AI narration can be distracting. Kinda like when the deed is being done and the rhythm isn’t consistent. This novel would be perfect for a duet audio! It is a good read but could have been so much better! I appreciate the hard work put into the book and enjoyed listening despite the AI narration. ,

Pretty good

This was a fast-paced, dark romance with a gang boss as the male lead. It started with them already obsessed with each other and was written a little juvenilely at times. Although the book featured some violence and graphic sex scenes, I'd rate it low on the spice and kink scale. The performance was good for not being read by a person, but it definitely lacks something with it being read by an AI. Overall, I will buy the physical copy and read the next book.
