SORRY

The right narrator, the right voice can make or break a book/story for me. His voice just didn't match or give feeling to the story for me. The voice was pleasant enough, but I couldn't get past the reading of the story to enjoy the actual story. For me it lacked that feel of real life reactions and the emotions and romantic reading just sounded read, not felt. Trying to decide if I want to use another credit to try the next book in the series. From what I can see, they're all narrated by the same reader.

Very Elementary Sounding

I’m not sure if it was the way the story is written or the narrator (or a combination of both) but this was a very annoying story to listen to. I think it was mostly the narration. It felt quite simplistically written with minimal effort to fully develop the characters. I could not connect with the characters with the way it was narrated. I had to give up on this one.

Wholesome story more suited for older teens/young adult readers

The story is simple, with little depth or suspense. The narrator’s style is not my favorite, a little stilted at times and overly dramatic at others. I did appreciate the lack of foul language!

I loved the story, a great love story for real adults and a working dog. You just can't ask for more.

Unique story line

I liked everything & can't wait for the next books to be recorded as the audio version. I loved the main characters & how the story unfolded. Knowing there are 9 Sullivan's with their 9 dogs, I am so excited to keep reading this series. Looking forward to the second book now! At least the title is out so I can anticipate the content.
