For the last six months, Deputy US Marshal Delroy McCabe has been secretly pining for his partner, Langston Ross. He’s kept his desires to himself because he wants to do a good job and prove himself at work. More importantly, if Lang were to find out his true feelings, maybe the person he cares for the most might walk away.

Between the understanding and support Lang gives him, as well as time with his family, Del can’t afford to slip up. But then, why does his partner and best friend care who Del sleeps with? Why, if given a choice, would Lang prefer to do anything with him? Maybe Del’s been missing something important, and perhaps Lang’s not the only one who’s not seeing what’s right in front of him. Because sometimes the strongest ties are the ones that bind our hearts.

Mary Calmes is one of my favorite authors. While I liked this book, it didn’t resonate with me like her books usually do. As soon as they realize they’re in love, the bulk of the story is just them talking about the same things over and over. There wasn’t any angst at all and even the Marshall side of things was lackluster. I liked their chemistry, I just think it needed more.

Good but not great

I truly enjoyed this addition to the Marshalls series. Not a lot of angst or action, but a nice vignette into the the lives of the characters, plus an addition of new ones.

Like visiting old friends and meeting new ones.

Newly Tied is so good! Del is a sweetheart. I love how possessive Lang is of him. I hope there is going to be more to come in the Marshals series. I love it so much! I can tell that the author put their heart and soul into writing this series and it's one of my favorites. I usually listen to the first 4 books over and over because I'm obsessed with Miro and Ian. This time I listened all the way through to this 7th book and it's still amazing even though the last few books have different MCs. I can't get enough of this series. I just want more!
Greg Boudreaux is a fantastic narrator. He made Del's so sexy!

Lang and Del ❤️

This story had all the charm, action, and sweetness you can expect from Mary Calmes. The steamy scenes didn’t have the same emotional component that you might find with Ian and Miro's story, but they did have heat. The book was relatively short, but I hope this book is the beginning of another Marshals arc.

Greg Boudreaux's voice is pleasant to listen to, and I enjoy his performance. I think his narration adds deprh to the character's personalities.

Good story. Good narration.

For me it wasn't as good as the previous books. I wanted more character development. Greg was good, but he's done better.

Not what I expected
