wish there were two places....

one to discuss the book and one for virtual voice.

This collection is exactly what I want in cozy mysteries. I love the McBlack series and this one is growing on me. I hope there less references to being fat and getting fat. it seems like women are supportive of each other in the Winters' books I've read (unless its plot specific obviously). so the multiple characters negativity about weight really doesnt fit. The plots are good. I don't know a lot of descriptors about literature so basically these books are great for me because I listen at night and while im doing other things. sometimes I go back and register if I miss something. they also help with intrusive thoughts. and are a wonderful break from true crime.

Regarding virtual voice, I know Chachi BT can learn as you go and even the remakes aren't perfect - why can't virtual voice learn. it's not like you have to pay a voice actor again to record it. I love this voice chosen for her books though. love it. it is very similar to my chatgpt voice and for Google. Could we fix mmmmmmm, or other similar sounds and keep names consistent? Also, are P.I.s really going by "pies" these days? I am definitely not in the PI world so i honestly dont know - doeant sound right tho.

Virtual Voice is aweful!

I want to listen to books by this author but I can't get used to the virtual voice. They are probably good stories but I will never know.
