It's Cowboys, what's not to love?

This listen was actually a re-read for me so I already knew I loved the story. I mean, it's cowboys, so what's not to love? Sophie Daniels does a fantastic job of bringing Cassandra to life. I'll be honest though, I didn't automatically like the performance of Christian. In the first chapter Dane Anderson gives a very awkward, almost rushed delivery. After a few chapters, however, that weirdness is gone as if he settles into the character. Overall, I still very much enjoyed this performance and would still recommend it to others.

Loved this book

This book was so good, at first I wasn’t sure about the FMC but as the story progressed I grew to love her character. Can’t wait for the next book to be on audiobook

“Greedy girl” is diabolical—give her all the awards for that line…Dane too, for that matter. Perfectly delivered. Cassandra is a breath of fresh air and her character development was incredible. Christian. Yeah—this is the right way to write a character named “Christian”. 10/10!

A great read!

This was my first book by this author and it definitely won’t be my last! I was hooked pretty quickly! I did a tandem read and listen with this one. If you like audio books I highly recommend it! The narrators did a fantastic job with the story. They brought a lot of life to the characters. I will admit in the beginning I wasn’t sure how I was going to like this one. I found the FMC a bit unlikeable, but I as I read more I saw that was the point. There was a lot of character growth on her part and I ended up really liking her! This book will have you cracking up and feeling the feels! Definitely one of those reads that when you get to the end you’re not ready! I could have read so much more! So if you’re in the mood for a small town, cowboy, single dad, forced proximity, workplace romance look no further!

A cowboy romance that surprised me in the best way!

This book was everything I didn’t know I was missing in a cowboy romance. At first, I wasn’t sure how to feel about Cassandra with her no-nonsense attitude toward Christian’s daughters that rubbed me the wrong way. But the sharp banter and undeniable chemistry between her and Christian quickly pulled me in. And that sexual tension? Off the charts.
As the story unfolded, I came to really appreciate Cass’s strength. If you know ranch life, you know it takes a tough, grounded partner and Cass fits that world perfectly. Watching Christian slowly break through her walls, and seeing his daughters find a place in her heart, made her transformation all the more rewarding.
I also loved the big family dynamic from the loyalty, love, and fierce protectiveness they all shared added so much warmth to the story. This book had me hooked from beginning to end, and I can’t wait to dive into the rest of the series.
