An ode to gaming and top tier narration!

I bought this immediately because Will M Watt and Alexis Hall are likely my favorite narrator/author combo-and they don’t disappoint! And the additional narrating cast complimented each other well! the story was clearly a loving appreciation for the gaming community—for non gamers, just know it’s an extremely immersive experience of that world. But there is still enough story for non-gamers to enjoy! Honestly with Will’s voice and Alexis’ pen, you cant’t really go wrong, no matter the subject matter!

Weird Barkground

Great story and voice acting, but the background music was annoying as hell. It never seemed to match the tone of the story or provide anything beneficial. Honestly, it was horribly distracting. I’ve listened to full cast audiobooks and graphic audios, but the music here was so obnoxious.

Really great!

I was a little wary at first about all the voices and characters! I wasn’t sure if I would be able to follow without a physical copy but it was pretty easy to understand after the first chapter! (The only thing I had trouble with is that I kept getting confused with Drew and Dave because they were both basic four letter names that start with the letter D haha!) The story was great and the main characters were so cute! They had me giggling and kicking my feet! Loved it overall! Definitely recommend reading this!

Cute and entertaining!

great voice acting and quirky characters! If you're not up to date on "gamer lingo" there is a bit of a learning curve- but as an avid gamer, it was a fun test of my repertoire of words! The plot isn't all that deep, but I felt like the story accomplished what it set out to tell.

I totally worried when I saw the glossary if I wasn’t going to understand this book, but rest assured as a complete book nerd who does no gaming, I was able to follow it and loved it.
