Loved it

I loved this audio book! I could not stop listening! I did not listen to a chapter every day of December! Loved the concept but it was to good!!!

A page turner!

Loved the relentless tension and the dogged endurance of the Gray family. Appreciated how each member of the family displayed heroic moments.

Building Suspense

i dont read thrillers horror at all so am not a pro reviewer by any means. i appreciated the stories build up and suspense and unique way wrapping it into 25 days. and open ended ending was predictible but it was a good listen.

Different-suspenseful-clever

I really tried to stick to one chapter a day, and for the most part that worked and kept me entertained. I enjoyed that the bad guy was kept in shadow. This was an excellent book.

Loved the advent days inlaid into the chapters

Overall the multiple perspectives isn’t anything new as many other authors have been doing this for quite some time now which brings more to the table of the reader’s experience. The book leaves it open ended so you don’t know the kidnapper nor his reasoning behind his actions. I think if we knew why he did what he did or knew more about his backstory or upbringing it would’ve put more depth into the story. I’d say it was an okay read. It wasn’t exciting or a page turner. It was interesting but not the 😱 kinda storyline. Would I recommend it to anyone. Not likely. I wouldn’t deter anyone from reading it if they asked about it either. But you know how the killers on the movies Halloween and Friday the 13th we know their background so we know the reason for their behavior. It’s like a sick vindictication. Sometimes we do ned to know more about the sicko even if we never see his face or know his name. 💁🏻‍♀️
