He’s the campus king with a no-girlfriends rule.
But he’s about to break it for the most irritating, sassy-mouthed woman he’s ever met.

Flynn Kingman’s senior year plan is simple: class, getting drafted in the first round, and no romantic complications. Until he chases a rogue baby donkey across campus and meets Tempest Navarro—the one woman immune to his charm.

Tempest Navarro is hiding her bestselling romance novels, anxiety, and a baby donkey in her sorority house. Nope, nothing to see here. Especially not for a jock that’s too hot for his own good. Why does he have to be in her Shakespeare class, saying smart things, and driving her insane?

When they’re forced together by a university tutoring program, verbal sparring turns to undeniable attraction. Especially when Tempest’s emotional support donkey, her meddling sisters, and a whole lot of Kingman siblings are all conspiring to push them together at every turn.

This steamy sports romance features a protective football player with hidden depths, a curvy heroine owning her talents and learning to take up space, an emotional support donkey with perfect timing, and that Bridgertons-meets-American-Football family that’ll make you wish you were a Kingman.

Flynn is one of the twins from the Kingsman brood. Tempest is a curvy, Latina good girl that goes to the same college. She’s standoffish, but he’s persistent. When a baby donkey is loose on campus they end up working together to take care of him. This one is cute, and spicy.

Great narrators

I absolutely loved this story and how relatable Tempest is to me as a Latina big girl. And it was also super fun to listen to the Latin accent in so many different characters. The narrators did a spectacular job with it.

Flynn and Tempest meet by chance when she manages to stop the donkey that got loose during the pep rally and is now running away from Flynn. What sets this story apart from the rest of the series so far is how Tempest would not give Flynn the time of day. But Flynn was determined to get to know her, and fate kept throwing them together.

I love both Tempest and Flynn's journey of acceptance and learning how to love yourself no matter what others think or say, and that you should always follow your dreams even if these take you in a different direction than what you thought they would. Something else that was very relatable to me from this story was how Flynn learned that moving away from your family doesn’t mean you lose them.

Quote: “For perhaps the first time in my life, I looked at my reflection and saw not the girl who took up too much space, who didn’t quite fit, but a woman who filled her space exactly as she was meant to.”

“To stories. The ones we read, the ones we write, and the ones we live.”

I went back to the previous book reviews and I don’t know why I rated them lower than a 5. They are so memorable and unique and full of love. I love the kingman men and the women who love them.

I love this series
