More than anything, Olivia Greer wants to celebrate moving into her newly built home with her boyfriend, Michael. Unfortunately, she's plagued with guilt about leaving her sister Sage. Convinced she would feel better about the whole situation if Sage had a boyfriend, Olivia cooks up a scheme to play match-maker between Sage and her old friend Jeff Grossman.

The pair seem to be on the right track toward a connection...when Jeff's sister, Roxanne, finds a dead body and is arrested for murder. Worse yet, Roxanne makes a misguided confession that gets in the way of the real killer being tracked down.

As Olivia wants to see Sage and Jeff together, she has to find a way to clear Roxanne's name. When every other suspect has an alibi, can Olivia follow the clues to the truth? Or will a wrongful conviction destroy all their happily-ever-afters?

Dead contestant worthy of HGTV. So many cleaners as characters, all with great character arcs until the end. Love the dog!

Contest worthy

story fine but i don't like narrator change it takes it away from the music and character development
don't like how they made the trans character cheyanne seem just like a regular woman after estiblishing her place in story. and she should have been more apart of this story as a cleaner.
and tired of olivias whining about the house but feeling comfortable because of her dead friend then not wanting to move to another big mansion because she doesn't want to leave.

warming up to narrator but

Slow and unenthusiastic delivery of a slow developing story with not much happening. If you need something to make you sleepy, this is a good one.

While there are some humorous moments and a cute dog, most of the plot and characters are just strange. I usually enjoy quirky stories about small towns, but the setting & people need to be somewhat realistic and engaging.

When a 30 something part-time musician like Olvia has no real career plans yet complains that her boyfriend is building her a gorgeous, customized home, she desperately needs therapy. Olivia likes to play "Nancy Drew" with the local grumpy constable/police officer but makes no move to use her skills in a paid position.

And even more unbelievably, this small town has a police station (called something weird) with only ONE officer and ONE administrative assistant, yet they keep prisoners in cells. Readers are supposed to believe that it is legal to keep someone looked in a cage in a building with no one around in case of fire or a medical emergency.

Not Weird in a Good Way
