He’s New York’s most eligible billionaire. And I’ve been hired to find him love.
I’ve built a thriving business doing what I love—connecting soulmates.
So, when a woman begs me to help her father, I’m on the first flight from London.
My track record is flawless.
Until I meet Sterling Beaufort. Suave. Charming. Devastatingly handsome.
The owner of the world’s most luxurious diamond empire.
But behind the silver fox’s billion-dollar smile is a complex man I’m determined to unravel.
The harder I push, the fiercer he resists.
Until I snap and demand to know why he’s sabotaging his chance at happiness. He doesn’t tell me… He shows me. God, does he show me.
But a twenty-year age gap, a family tragedy, and the fact he’s my client aren’t all I have to consider. There’s a reason I find love for other people and never for myself.
This time, the universe has it wrong. Because falling for Sterling Beaufort is the match that could burn everything.

Halliday, a renowned matchmaker with a talent for finding love, for others, has built a career on perfect pairings. But when she’s hired by Sinclair to find her single father the perfect match, she never expects to be the one falling. Enter Sterling: polished, powerful, and effortlessly charming. A clean-cut businessman with a commanding presence, he isn’t exactly keen on his daughter meddling in his love life. But the moment he meets Halliday, everything changes.
From their first interaction, the sparks are undeniable. Their attraction is instant, their chemistry explosive, and despite every reason to keep things professional, their connection is impossible to ignore. Sterling is decisive, confident, and completely taken with Halliday. He doesn’t hesitate when he knows what he wants. And what he wants? Her.
Elle does not hold back in The Matchmaker. The romance is fast, the tension is intense, and the spice is off the charts.. Halliday tries to resist, knowing the complications of their situation, but their love story is a runaway train…unstoppable, exhilarating, and completely consuming.
If you’re a fan of agegap romances that bring the heat, forbidden attraction that feels deliciously wrong yet so right, and a love story that grabs you from the first page, The Matchmaker is a must read. A perfect blend of passion, intensity, and heart. This book will leave you swooning, fanning yourself, and desperate for more.
Amazing start to a new series

Spice level: 3-4. Tons of spicy, in depth scenes, with some kink and very descriptive. 4 because I consider a 3 to be things that everyone would like and this one gets a bit more than standard basic vanilla spicy in the scenes ( no BD$M or non-consent issues, but let's say all areas of the body are explored).
Writing: well written. The way their bond started had me hooked. It was cute, sweet and fiesty. Age gap of 20 years is a bit much for me, but it's a story, so who cares. Story stays consistent through-out with no grammatical errors or plot inconsistencies. The secondary characters add depth and emotion. Spicy scenes were VERY hot and quite frequent after they go together. That, along with how good the narration is, will likely get you hot and bothered. It did go past falling in love and some conflict with other characters, all of the way to the wedding. So it felt a bit dragged out, but had substance as to why, so good value for the price. I liked that there was no stupid 3rd act break-up. Any conflict to create tension, came from outside their direct relationship.
Small annoyances (small spoilers):
Baby girl was used waaaay too much, but a small thing and no biggie. A couple of over the top, eye-rolling gestures. Like why did he have to pretty 3 planes so she could pick her favorite, vs just showing her all 3 to pick?? Any why pay someone who has a gambling problem and treated her badly half a million dollars directly, vs just paying off the debt directly, to make sure it was paid off or why even offer that much, when it shows later on he has the power and influence to address him other ways. It was justified that he was doing it because he knows she wouldn't want anyone hurt, but just over the top.
Audio was sooo good! Lot's of spice
