Detective Inspector Alison Raines is a woman dedicated to the job, that job being to protect her city and to speak for the dead. Her uncomplicated world is coming to an end with a cancer diagnosis that will cut short a life that revolved around work and little else.

Raines is forced to open herself to the friends that she never knew she had and to the fact that perhaps she never knew as much as she previously thought about the criminal world that existed around her. With her own time running out she will be faced with the ultimate life and death decision.

Very fun listen

Always been a monster/creature feature fan so this author is my cup of tea!

well put together, and well thought out

If not for computer narration, it would've been a perfect 5. For this particular genre, this story is a 5.

A captivating story

The writer has a gift for storytelling. Well written and entertaining. The AI narrator was a bit of a drag, but didn’t kill the experience. Overall, a fun read. This is why I try fellow indie authors.
