One ghost ship legend, one man's obsession, 10 tales of terror.

200 years ago The Damnation terrorised the Caribbean waters. Captained by an exiled British aristocrat Devereux Bonney who'd been banished form his homeland due to long held rumours about his violent dark appetites and occult beliefs. Ruling the ocean waves and evading the naval forces sent to sink him The Damnation brought about fear as her deeds grew into legend before she disappeared without trace.

Willard Gaines was a man obsessed with finding the legend, an obsession that has cost him everything but it is about to pay off, but at what price?

When her estranged father goes missing after finding his prize Maisy is dispatched in her capacity as a lawyer to begin the process of legally seizing The Damnation's remains. What she finds however is that already some of the ship's items have gone missing, artefacts that are embedded with the Captain's evil as they spread out seeking destruction.

Soon Maisy finds herself on a race against time to track down the 10 missing items before it's too late, before they reach their goal in blood and innocent lives, and each one bringing Devereux Bonney one step closer to his return.

Salvage brings you 10 individual tales of terror, each one linked by a framing storyline and every one a tale to read with the lights on.

SO MANY distracting and confusing issues with the AI narration, that you cant tell the meaning or mood of a lot of the sentences. AI can't tell the difference between words that have more than one pronunciation, depending on the use. It happens literally hundreds of times in this book and it throws you out of the story every time because the meaning of that sentence no longer makes any sense. The word "live" as in "we are going live on air" is constantly pronounced as "liv". That's just one of many examples. "Read", pronounced either like "red" or "reed" is another constantly used incorrectly.
AI can't correctly read a sentence based on punctuation either. Commas go ignored and there are pauses in the middle of sentences where there shouldn't be. As if the sentence ended in the middle, then a pause, then the second half of the sentence is said as it'd it is it's own sentence. Again, that's just one of many examples.
The worst thing is that strong inflections are used on the wrong words, ruining what the author meant to say and the mood it's supposed to convey. Overall it's just way too much and ruins what could be a great story. The story is pretty good, as are most of his. Unfortunately I won't be listening to anymore books read by AI, period.

AI narration is horrible.
