Secrets, suspicions, and suspense rise up thick as the Seattle fog in seventeen post-war noirs set in the Pacific Northwest. Produced and directed by Jim French, these new-time radio episodes bring back the classic radio style.

Phil Harper stars as private investigator Harry Nile, a former Chicago cop. Pat French plays his invaluable assistant Murphy, a former librarian. Together they crack cases of arguments and arson, threats and theft, desperation and death. Favorites like Larry Albert, John Patrick Lowrie, Bill Brooks, Kathy Levin, and Jim French himself are heard as the schemers and the suckers. Listen in to see if Harry can puzzle out the mysteries and sidestep the set-up.

I have very few issues with the French duo! I fell upon Harry Nile via the Sherlock Holmes programs. I am a fan of everything Holmes! From Nigel Bruce to Bert Coules! I've heard them all. However Jim French is a great twist on an old favorite. That rabbit hole gave me HARRY NILE! [and a few others]

Jim French was Seattle's Garrison Keillor. As my daddy would say "Same church, different pew". Larry Albert and Phil Harper drag me back to the like of Broadway IS My Beat, Dick Diamond, Dragged and the Zenith of Noir...Yours Truly, Johnny Dollar. Sigh, When the NEW series popped up in my Audible feed...I almost fainted! while Jim and Pat French are no longer with us, I do hope the stories of Imagination Theater/Aural Visions will continue. With the snap of Harry's Fedora, a few words of care from Murphy and he's off to the next intriguing case! $50 a day + expenses.

Great fill in for Pat French!
