My name is Rowdy Kincade, though I don't really live up to my name... I've always been a bit of a loner, even on the Kincaid family ranch where I've worked since I was a young'un. There's just something about me that makes it hard to open up and let folks in, you know? I reckon it started back when I was a scrawny kid, always getting picked on by the other ranch hands. I learned early on that it was safer to keep to myself, to avoid drawing any unwanted attention.

So I've spent most of my days quietly going about my work, tending to the cattle and keeping my head down. The other cowboys would sometimes poke fun at me for being so shy and skittish. "Come on, Rowdy, live a little!" they'd holler. But I couldn't help it - I just ain't wired that way.

That is, until Damian showed up.

As Damian and I were paired up to work side-by-side, tending to the cattle or mending fences, I began to see past his initial awkwardness. I caught glimpses of a kind, thoughtful young man who seemed just as uncomfortable in his own skin as I was. And slowly, I found my walls starting to come down in his presence.

Young silly boy DAMIAN has a lot of issues but rowdy is a patient cowboy used to tame animals and he is able to charm DAMIAN and help him change and together they find a special meaning in each other.
