A bewitching bookstore. A tome of secrets. And a crime-solving witch.

Mercy Brew is a bibliomancy witch with a lifelong love of books and a magic touch that prefers paperbacks to potions. After her aunt passes away, Mercy inherits Bewitching Books, a magical bookstore in the seaside town of Hemlock Hills, along with an obnoxious black cat, and a murder...or two.

When the Bureau of Peculiar Magic names her the prime suspect in the crimes, Mercy's dream of running an enchanted bookshop turns from hexcellent to hexasperating.

To clear her name, she must investigate the local coven and unlock the Secreta, a mystically sealed book that won't reveal its secrets no matter how many times she asks nicely—or throws bibliomancy at it.

With the help of a gorgeous werewolf, two quirky witches, and her French bulldog, Tricksy, Mercy sets out to uncover the truth. But in a seaside town where a cauldron of lies is bubbling to the surface, Mercy could be the broomstick-wielding killer’s next target.

Can Mercy solve the mystery before she ends up as the main character in a murder most witchy?

This might have been a good book but I couldn’t get past the misspoken words & odd breaks between syllables (like your self instead of yourself). What was the cat’s name Lucifer or Lucy-Fur? Horrible experience - and I rarely leave reviews. Maybe try a non-AI version?
