Time for Taylor

Taylor is sweet, helpful, and a human doormat. She simply can’t say no or stand up for herself. She can’t say no when her mother pushes her to learn the family business when she’d rather write, and she doesn’t speak up when her rival classmate, Sandra, pulls a prank and signs her up to volunteer at the Golden Oaks nursing home all summer. Will her dreams of sitting under the summer sun writing her book be crushed under the brutal personality of Maude White, the elderly women she’s been assigned to visit? Maude is everything Taylor is not. She’s abrasive and straightforward, but their differences rub off on each other. As Maude softens towards Taylor, Taylor’s difficulties are tripled when her brother’s cute best friend comes around. And when Taylor digs deeper into Maude’s tragic past she must finally make a decision to stand by her new friend and herself, or once again be bowled over.
