Great story of unexpected love and family

The narration was fine.

Ford is the goalie for an NHL team. Andi is his next door neighbor, recently divorced to a professional baseball player who cheated on her. Ford is surprised when a one night stand from a year ago shows up on his door with a baby, saying she needs to leave her with him for a while while she cares for her parents.

Ford is deep into regimented control of every aspect of his life. A baby doesn't exactly mesh with those plans, and he can't manage without enlisting the help of his friend and neighbor, Andi.

Andi has her own business, but watching Tilly for Ford throws a bit of a wrench into her professional life. Plus, she never saw herself as ever being someone's mother or mother figure.

This book moves pretty quickly, and the surprise toward the end is... well, totally unexpected (at least for this reader). I love the advice Ford gets from his friends on the team. I love the way Andi steps up, even when she doesn't need to. Because no matter what else is going on, Tilly deserves love and a family.
