A Bratva Boss forced me into a marriage I never wanted, for a reason that I refuse to believe.

There's no reason for him to even look at an ordinary girl like me. Let alone marry one.

By day, Nikolai Starukhin is an art collector with an eye for beauty. By night, he's a ruthless Bratva boss whose hands deal in broken things and pain.

Our paths crossed when he saved me from a creep. I thought that was where our story ended.

And then I noticed what he left behind: An invitation to his art gallery.

I should have said no. I should've thrown it away. But like a naïve fool, I follow the invitation to where it leads.

And that's when I'm dragged into a never-ending nightmare.

Because Nikolai Starukhin isn't the knight in shining armor. He's the monster who'll never let me go.

He tells me that I'm the key to everything and that it's no coincidence he was there to save me.

But when he tells me the reason why all of this is happening, I know that there's no way I can ever leave. Not until I find the truth.

But to do that means playing Nikolai's twisted game.

First as his guest. Then as his prisoner. And finally, as his bride.

Unforgiving Sinner is book one of the Starukhin Bratva duet. Eden and Nikolai's story continues in book two, Unforgiving Saint.

For mature listeners.

It’s a slow story takes forever to get to the point. I’m only going to keep going since it ends on a cliffhanger

I kept waiting for Nicolaj to stop being so naive! I expect the 18 year old sheltered Eden to be naive but N is a Pachan.
I love the mafia/forced marriage trope but this is not well written and I feel nothing forNicolaj except that he is annoying.

It could have been good, but isn’t

Narrators are pretty good tho lots of mispronounced words and unrealistic inflections in some situations.

Storyline had potential, but the author sacrificed realistic reactions in order to create more action. Example: at one point the heroine sends an accidental texts, pouring fuel on a fire. But rather than sending a corrective text immediately after, she freaks out and gathers up enforcers and runs into the fray. Instead of leaving a message as to what's happening, she has to run into everything and just cause more problems. If she had discovered the mistake hours after making it, the additional drama would have made more sense. but discovering the mistake immediately after doing it and not sending a corrective text is just stupid.

These kinds of stupid actions happen throughout the entire book. And it's especially bad when the crime Lord is the one making stupid decisions. You don't become a crime Lord by making stupid mistakes. The simplest solution is constantly overlooked in order to create drama.

Additionally, it's supposed to be a romance and there is zero basis for the development of love. other than a lustful attraction by both parties. And the heroine is a complete dingbat. she puts up the smart-mouthed bravado of a typical sheltered 18-year-old fresh out of high school and yet you're expected to believe that a crime Lord nine years her senior is going to fall madly in love with her. The entire premise just doesn't make sense.

there are several intense scenes at the beginning of the book that keep you listening. but by halfway through, you're just wishing them to end it all.

don't waste your time.
