Old soldiers are supposed to sit in the bar, drink with their buddies, and tell war stories. But when invaders invade, veterans do what they’ve got to do. Master Sergeant Lester Arceneaux (Retired), a disabled vet, is long into his golden years, too old even to be conscripted into the planetary militia. But when the enemy rolls over the local forces, he must run to the sound of gunfire if his wife and neighbors can have even a small chance to survive. His heart and mind are willing, but are his old bones up to the task? Download Veteran now and find out. Genre Fiction Military Science Fiction War & Military Solider Heartfelt Veteran

I am so glad that he is putting up all of his back catalogue. even better. He is not waiting for a fancy performer and virtual voice is doing really well with everything he has put up in the last couple of months. It’s frustrating with some authors who wait and wait and wait For a certain performer and all the wild us that like audiobooks are watching book after book come out in e-book or print thank you, sir. Another awesome story.

Another great story

I knew it was going to be read by an AI but I was determined to listen to the book by one of my very favorite authors, with an open mind and be fair. Yes, I schooled myself because pushing the tender age of 80, I’m pretty well entrenched in my likes and dislikes but have always had an open mind to go with my mercurial nature. So it’s with complete honesty that I tell you: The book was great; the reading STUNK UP the place! It was an even monotone, delivered in a personable tone, that didn’t display one emotion! Actually, it reminded me of my college proofs who had given the same lecture every quarter after quarter never changing anything. The AI droned on and on only pausing for the end of a sentence without a flicker of emotion or change. Luckily, Jonathan Brazee did his magic again in the story. I hope J. was just testing the waters and I want him to know : I’m one of your faithful and knew the story would excel but if I had been a new listener, I wouldn’t have finished the book. Your books deserve better even if it’s a pain in the tush to find a good human reader and it cuts down your profit margin. At least your books will sell! I admit I shop for a book by author AND by narrator. I’ve listened to books destroyed by gawd awful readers but I’ve also listened to mediocre books done by readers who are Performers and magically save the dud! Since I see more of your books done by Virtial Voice, please hear this! VV STINKS, RUINS THE BOOK, IS VERY BAD IDEA!!
