“Tell me a little girl story,” was a bedtime request from Patsy Redden’s 6-year-old daughter, Elina. She became fascinated by the “old-time” stories her mom told about being a girl growing up on a farm in north-central Kansas during the 1950s. What did little girls do to have fun before the time of television and other electronic entertainment? What was it like to go to a country school with one teacher for eight grades? What adventures and chores were part of farm life? Telling “Little Girl Stories” became a nightly ritual, so Patsy decided to turn on the tape recorder to preserve the story-telling time. Many years later, she wrote and edited the stories.

Little Girl Stories is a fun book written by Patsy Redden and narrated by her. She tells the stories as if she’s reminiscing about her childhood and the way things were in the past. The details allow the reader/listener to feel as if she/he is back in time watching these events unfold with Patsy. Little Girl Stories is an enjoyable and wholesome book from cover to cover!

Wholesome and endearing stories!

Our whole family enjoyed listening to this book together! Each night we would listen to 3-4 chapters. My kids would always beg to listen to “just one more”! The stories were entertaining and endearing.
