The poetry and fluidity of this man’s writing

I loved the storyline , the difference of the story. It drew me in from the beginning and carried me to the end. I recommend this book to everyone.

Interesting mix of historical cultural story, numerous relationship challenges and difficult adventures

The historical story and characters remained interesting for the entire book. Racial issues, challenges to women’s roles some in the U S and some in Mexico

The voices of the two characters June and Coleman were very real for me and brought the audiobook to life.

Kept me hooked from beginning to end

The reader was excellent! It took me a few days to realize that it was André Santana doing all the voices on the chapters narrated by Coleman. The story was also great, especially from Coleman’s side, I feel like thats where a lot of the action was. Loved this book!
