“His instinct is to kill me. His desire is to love me.”
Six years ago strangers broke into my house while I was home alone. I hid, but one of them found me. I expected death, but he spared me.
I thought it was over … except for the nightmares. But he was only waiting for me to ripen to his taste.
I’m not the first girl he’s taken to sate his dark hunger, but I will be the last.

While the book is short, I didn’t feel like anything was missing from the story. There is definitely a beginning, middle and end.
Cons: Juliet is an idiot. Christian continues to be honest with her about his intentions and she continues to ask stupid questions that she knows the answers to. The fact that she was about to do the 😈💃🕺 (when she doesn’t even really like the guy), to impress her friends speaks to her immaturity level. While missing your family and friends is completely understandable, she also was going to miss icing cookies and the beach 🤦🏼♀️. By the end of the book, I just found her annoying and extremely naive.
Juliet is an idiot! Maybe it’s her age 🤷🏼♀️
