Great story line

This is the first time I am listening to Siobhan Curhan. She has now become one of my favorite authors. I enjoyed the book immensely. It was very captivating and hard to put down, just wanted to finding out what was the next plot. The story was realistic, had to google to see if was real. The description was so vivid, could actually picture Sofia in her village. The narrator did a great job it making the story come to life.

Beautifully written and Beautifully Narrated. Great character development. Just the right amount of intrigue. I loved it!

Distracting errors in what was a pretty good story

The story was intriguing. However, as someone who has lived in Portugal and learned the language, mistakes were made mostly by the narrators but the author as well. For example, Castelo has one L in Portuguese and they don't answer the phone with Olá. The narrators weren't even close with the Portuguese accent and they used Brazilian Portuguese pronunciation which is different from European Portuguese. They continually used a "g" sound for the letter "d" (e.g. tarde and saudade) which is used in Brazil, but not Portugal. I suppose most people wouldn't care, but I found it rather distracting.
