New Town. New Café. Deadly Secrets.

Tiffany Black was ready for a fresh start—quaint small-town life, a cozy café, and days filled with cupcakes, coffee, and zero drama. But from the moment she and her best friend, Rosie, open their bakery, things start to go horribly wrong.

First, someone sabotages the café, determined to shut them down before they even get started. Then, a murder rocks the town—and all signs point to someone who’s a little too close for comfort.

Who is trying to destroy Tiffany's dream? Who wanted the victim dead? And how long before the killer strikes again?

As suspicion swirls and danger closes in, Tiffany realizes that small-town charm hides some big, dark secrets—and if she doesn’t uncover the truth fast, she might be the next one to go up in smoke.

The ovens are on, the stakes are high, and the killer is just getting started…

A gripping, fast-paced cozy mystery packed with suspense, humor, and shocking twists. Get your copy today!

Praise for A.R. Winters:

"The perfect balance of being lighthearted, but still a serious page-turning mystery." - Jaycie D, Amazon.com

"A fun cozy mystery with engaging and entertaining characters" - lq, Amazon.com

"For fans of Janet Evanovich, Rhys Bowen and Jana DeLeon, this is a funny, clean mystery." - Clara B, Amazon.com

This is a light-hearted story featuring a strong female protagonist, some unusual friends and family, and a mystery that needs solving! It has no graphic gore or love scenes, or bad language. It is a standalone novel.

The person who read this book is obviously very new at reading audible books. Many mispronunciations and really terrible ability to infer emotion and put it into the voices of the speakers. She stopped in the middle of sentences and does not know how to pronounce private investigator equals “PI“ or “HON” equals short for “honey”. Her irregular way of speaking pretty much destroyed the story so I can’t even tell you if the writer is any good. I think she should practice and have an editor, then maybe she will be able to do better in the future.

It’s kind of hard to tell how good or bad the story is with a reader so inexperienced…

The story is okay for light listening but AI narration leaves much to be desired. Adjusting the speed helps quite a bit (1.5x ) but I think AI narration is best left to text books where common sayings and emotions don't apply.

There is no inflection in the narrators voice. Rosie does not seem to have a purpose to the story, just a place holder.

It was flat and poorly read and sometimes I couldn’t even understand the meaning until I thought about it. It was nothing like the Stephanie Plum series. I’ve read them all. If it wasn’t written by AI,,, it must’ve been a 12-year-old. My earbuds probably enjoyed it more than I did.

I think it was written by AI also

I hate the voice. It sounds robotic. I’m going to return the book I can’t stand it. It is distracting
