Action and suspense

It was a fun story with action, comrades formed and magic both light and dark in a fight for supremacy.

Character/author amnesia

The story itself was interesting, but the author kept giving the character the same “1st experiences” (ex. The hero’s identity & from another world; the hero can heal people.) It loses effect when there is a huge reaction to something the characters already know and are surprised to figure out regardless. Narrator did amazing job especially with diction of authors languages (fey, Elvish…)
