A beautiful unsentimental kontakion to a remarkable, defiant woman who is neither saintly, motherly or kind yet who is also all those things with a good dose of fire to burn her way to changing her world. Fire scorches, cleanses, destroys and rebirths. How else does she pass on rare and profound attributes to have been part of creating an even more remarkable daughter. The book is an antidote to the facism of our time, an expose of the tyranny of populism and narcissism. When a book impacts facets of my own life and thinking then I think that book is a treasure. And the reading by the author was exquisite and enhanced the inherent poignancy and meaning of the words.

Heartfelt, honest, vulnerable and relatable biography

Child-Parent relationships remain complex mindfields, especially when view from a distance after the passing of the parent for the adult child. Perspective can bring a definite clarity and that is what this book demonstrates.
