Weapons are not born, they're made. And a weapon, I have become.

I am the scythe that will cleave the Gods' traitorous heads from their not-so-Divine bodies.

Forced to the dangerous Ortus Island and the very first Mortal Gods Academy, I know that time is running out for both me and the Darkhavens.

If we can't figure out what the Gods are planning and how to stop them, it's no longer just our lives on the line. It's the lives of every Mortal God in existence.

In the world of the Gods, there is only one truth.

Trust no one. Not even your blood.

Contains mature themes.

This was the perfect ending to this criminally underrated series. Allie Shae did a wonderful job!! Benjamin Sands did also! I was so invested in how this ended.

A perfect ending ♥️

I wasn’t sure I would like this series at first, so I was happy to see the first book was available for free. I binged through that book in two days and did not hesitate to get the rest. There were times some of the chapters felt more like “filler” or repetitive, but it didn’t take away from the story. There were plenty of surprises/plot twists in each book to keep you wanting to read and find out more. Having read quite a few Reverse Harem/Academic series, there seemed to be similarities in characters/moments compared to others; but the characters in this series still felt “original” and individual enough to not make this series feel like a “copy” to others. Especially the whole God King “taboo” taking place.

I was saddened when Kiera sent Ariadne back to their home world instead of taking the opportunity to grow a familial relationship. I understood why, yet it hurt no less. Especially when Caedmon had to go too. I know it hurt him to leave his “sons” behind. This is my first Lucinda Dark series and I plan to read more of her books in the future. She did a phenomenal job of giving each character their own arc and “page time,” that left the reader feeling as if they knew them too. The friendships, trauma, love, redemptions, and acceptances were all very real feeling.

Overall— 5/5 on the narrators and 5/5 on this book. I rate the book series in its entirety as a 4/5 and the spice as a 4/5 as well.

What an amazing ending for this series!

I wished for an end and got one,
Still too much introspection, but played at 1.15 speed keeps the tedium at bay.
Satisfying ending, with a possibility of a future tale.
I wonder of the author's name, a nom de terre?
I must reasearch.

Finally ends
