Uncovering a Cover Up

Didn't know what to expect from this one, first read from the author. She did not disappoint! The story had twist and turns I wasn't expecting! I will definitely have to dive into the author's catalog! Worth the credit!

Definitely television adaptation worthy. This had me in a chokehold, I couldn’t stop listening. I absolutely recommend this book.

A Lot Going On In This Story

There was so much going on in this story with all of the corruption, lies, murder, false accusations and infidelity….I’m surprised that Grey and Gianna were able to find one another and even fall in love. Grey, Gianna & Lil Theo really did make for a cute family. I’m also glad Amber came around…she was actually the one crazy.

This is m'y first read by Ms. M. Monique, the girlies have been ranting and raving about her and lets say she did NOT disappoint! This story follows Gianna Phillips a fashion designer for her own boutique and Grey Summers, law enforcement. Gianna runs in to Grey at the station visiting her ex husband, Wyatt. She wanted to speak with him regarding reopening her father’s case. Four years prior, her father also a detective was found dead along with his wife. They closed this case as a murder-suicide. Gianna never believed that and went through bouts of depression. That day at the station when Wyatt turned her down to open the case she ran into Grey Summers. Grey was new to the area and later found himself,unknowingling in Gianna shops to with his sister to have a custom homecoming gown. One of the crazy thing about this story is that Wyatt’s new wife, Amber is Gianna’s old bestfriend and she doesn’t allow Wyatt to even see his 4 year old son Theo because of her jealousy for Gianna. Grey comes in like a night and shining armor. I really loved the character development in this story. I am definitely looking forward to finishing out the series.
