A locked room murder mystery set in Tangier!

Kit and Mary Aston fly off to Tangier when they hear that Aunt Agatha is on the run from the Moroccan police accompanied by her friends – Betty, Sausage and a Doberman called Mimi. Accused of a murder witnessed by dozens of people, only Kit can prove Agatha innocent.

Matters take a turn for the worse when the investigating policeman, an old enemy of Agatha, is found murdered in his hotel room which has been locked from the inside with no possible way of entering except through the front door.

The latest Kit Aston mystery takes place in a Morocco on the brink of war where old enemies have become friends, old friends are enemies and the next double cross lies waiting around the corner.

The Kit Aston mysteries mix real-life historical characters and events with Agatha Christie plots and a dash of PG Wodehouse and Eric Ambler thrown in for good measure. If you have not read Kit Aston previously, it is best to start with book #1 of the series as The Tangier Tajine features characters from earlier books, in particular there are spoilers from book 3 - The Frisco Falcon.

This is a clean read with no sex, bad language or on the page violence.

Virtual voice is not perfect however, others of this generation are unreadable. This one is not. You get used to the reader ‘foibles’ but the books themselves are highly entertaining and make them a worthwhile read.
