Gorgeous Ending, Hard Journey

So many content warnings, ya'all. But it was satisfying even if I skimmed some of the suffering on the way.

The characters, the world, the lore

As the third book in the Shadowborn book, which are all written by someone very dear to me, I can say as a lifelong avid reader that Jordan Lee has completed their finale perfectly. The entire story from beginning to end was beautiful, exciting, terrifying, funny, and most of all, steamy and romantic. Watching Owen and Colt both grow and change from who they were in the beginning (what seems like 1000 years ago) to now has brought me so much joy. The lore in the story is incredible. I love the monsters and that each of them have their own folklore and stories. The love story, however, is paramount. What started as interested annoyance grew into a hot and heavy physical affair, and then into an undying and unyielding love that will stand the test of time. If you love romance, you will love this series. As for the third book itself, the exciting and intense last half is unmatched. The tension builds and builds until you're almost sure everything will be torn to pieces... but will it? You should listen to find out. It won't disappoint. Great job Jordan. I'm very proud of you and the work you've done. No one can ever take this away from you. ❤️❤️❤️
