A ton of these SW High Republic audiobooks were already released

Be warned: if you are a Star Wars junkie like me you may already own this book.

For some bizarre reason a bunch of these books were re-released with titles like “ Star Wars: The High Republic : Into The Light “ as opposed to “Into the light “

I rushed to spend my credits on what I believed were new titles because who in their right mind would re-release a book that had just been released within the last 3 years and is still readily available on audible ?

Fool me once ….


I hope this warning lands on the right persons cell phone screen just as they are about to purchase an audiobook they already have with a slightly modified title because of this happens to you ( I bought 4 books last week after getting excited seeing “new” material only to discover what was going on 5 minutes into the first book.

Audible also made it difficult to return the books for my credits back and at the end of the day I had to settle on calling customer service and getting 3 of my credits back and losing one. This is the way. The price of my failure and the cost of believing humanity makes logical sense - so for this boo boo I find that for my own stupidity costing me One Audible Credit rather than the full Four is an acceptable loss. A reminder to listen to the previews from now on because once you have 167 Star Wars audible books in your library you like me will grow confident and cocky even - believing you understand Audible at its core and negating the common sense need or time for a preview listen- since you’re so cool that you already know which narrators you enjoy and recognizing their name you simply hit purchase.

Trust in the Force but also…. Trust in the preview listen to make sure you’re not purchasing a book you already own with a slightly modified title which lulled you into a false sense of excitement and security.
