Confusing, but well worth the effort.

Hook Quality: Coming from the perspective of the previous E.K. Johnston books from this series I was already drawn into the story. I would argue it may be hard to keep up with the many characters involved for someone new to the series.
Character Depth: If you are already familiar with the past E. K. Johnston books I do think this book has interesting character depth for Padme and Sabe.

Strong Points: I don’t know if feminist is the correct word for it, but this book is very progressive in certain ways and I really enjoyed seeing more of it in the star wars saga. Additionally, without spoiling too much there is a clone soldier that goes by the name “Sister.”

Weak Points: This book is very confusing, I listened to it several times before I understood it more fully.

Writing Style: Complicated, but undeniably sophisticated.

Narrator Quality: Good. The narrator is the voice actor of Padmé in The Clone Wars.

Performance was great!

The performance was great, but I didn't care much for the story. Also, it seemed like there was a repeated part towards the end.

Great backstory to the whole story.

Great performance. Story was well written. Helps you enjoy the whole Star wars story more.

Error in Production?

Chapter 27 and 28 have the same audio. It sounds like the end of the book and I don’t know if something else is missing, but there is 5-10 minutes of repeated audio in the last two chapters.

it feels incomplete. it was short and building up then it ends. is this part of a series
