“Whatever you do, don’t read this in the dark…”—Cara Hunter, author of Close to Home

He hides in the shadows, waiting for the perfect moment. Each kill is calculated, planned and executed like clockwork.

Struggling to balance her personal and professional life, young DS Becca Vincent has landed the biggest case of her career–and she knows that it will make or break her. But how can she identify one face in a sea of thousands? With the help of Police Super Recogniser Joe Russell, she strives to catch a glimpse of the elusive murderer, but he’s watching her every move.

Time is not on their side. The body count is rising, and the attacks are striking closer and closer to home. Can Becca and Joe uncover the connection between the murders before the killer strikes the last name from his list?

From the bestselling author of When You Disappeared and The Good Samaritan comes his most thrilling novel yet.

Her Last Move returns with a fresh cover. This version incorporates an exclusive epilogue; while this enhances the reading experience, the main narrative is unchanged from earlier editions.

This was a decent little thriller. It wasn't my favorite of all time, nor the least favorite, it literally sits right in the middle. The whole story played out much like an episode of your favorite police drama, having just enough suspense and mystery to keep it not boring. The narrator did a great job

John Marrs is so brilliant it hurts. Like all his works even when you figure it out he still manages to twist and turn it so deliciously. He writes with incredible detail without the book feeling boring or like it’s going nowhere. I have found addiction in everything he gives us. His choice of narrators are always spot on and he adds so much more to the audio books- if you doubt that read any of his futuristic books in the Family Experiment series- hands down the best books I have ever read and listened to. This book was Also fantastic. I love the different perspective of the different characters and how well we get to know each one. I did think it was weird how he skipped past Becks dad being back in the picture at the end without any more details, his character could have been eliminated completely as he didn’t add much at all. Aside from that I thought it ended great with the epilogue. However the bonus chapter really bummed me out. One thing I love about JM is he does not placate the reader by giving a fantasy ending or happy conclusions to each person. So the bonus chapter felt rushed and forced. I’m all for “miracles” but the two people sitting at the table and him telling her the truth (trying not to spoil anything) and her just being like “oh ok, cool”huh!!! Yeah pretty much zero people would ever respond that way. It would be horrifying and traumatic and that is simply so unrealistic and beyond the normal suspension of belief that comes with reading. Especially from JM. I have no clue who you are but I know your name and recognize you from the back? Huh? So that’s my gripe. I hated it. Just the bonus though- the book itself was very good and I recommend it.

Very good story with GREAT narration!! The ending dragged on for a bit too long but really really liked it. Surprised the reviews aren’t higher.

Pleasantly surprised

The reader's voice was difficult to hear on many occasions. There was more paycobabale than I liked.

Not my favorite of John’s books. Hard to get into the story and stay with it.
