Wow honestly it was good

Honestly this was really good book. Even if i put it down and came back it still drew me in.

The narrator using "axed" instead of "asked"

The narrator using "axed" instead of "asked" and the audio kept switching like half the sentence was recorded at a different point in time made this story so annoying. I could not stand the random use of "axed". why did she do that

A Cartel Bloodbath of a Story

Before I say anything else. The translations drag for the Spanish text when a character goes on a long monologue but it's fine for the most part. The story itself however throws a few twists at you. Now, give that it's a Cartel story, you can already imagine how it'll end but I guarantee you will still be surprised at how fast paced it is. Some parts of the story are sped through too fast, but when it comes to the death scenes it slows and makes you feel it. It's an ok story if you're cool with True Crime stories mixed with extreme gore.

Really good.

Probably one of my favorite from this author. And this is about book ten I have enjoyed from him. Overall good. A lot of violence obviously. Recommend this to anyone.

Good story, poor narrator

I understand the benefit of having a native Spanish speaker for a story like this, where a bulk of the text is in Spanish and pronunciation is key. What was incredibly annoying and broke the immersion was the narrator’s repeated used of “axed” or “aksed” rather than saying “asked”. This would be fine if it was only a few times, however this word is repeated 100+ times and was pronounced the same every time.
The immersive benefit of having a Spanish speaker is completely negated when the English words are repeated mispronounced.
