Joining forces, they unravel truths about cops on the take, executions, prostitution and conspiracy to cover up a murder involving a high-ranking official.

Holds your interest

Interesting story and lots going on at a quick pace which keeps you wanting more. Only critique, the narrator makes everyone except the primary character sound like a woman. It was hard to decide who was talking when everyone has a high voice.

Better than I expected, I enjoyed it!

At first the overdone accents threw me off. I am from west Texas. I have family in Houston. But the story was compelling enough to let me forget the accents. lol.
I enjoyed the second book as well.

Excellent Crime Novel

I really enjoyed the storyline and the voice of the reader. I’m not very good at reading actual books so I’m glad this was available in audio! Can’t wait to read the next one!

The narrator is awful!

Was interested in the story, but had to stop listening, because of the absolutely terrible narrator.

Small town corruption and lies

Good book. Lots of suspense and detective work to solve new murders and cold unsolved murders. West and Lucky and all others get it all figured out and case closed. Only suggestion is the voices for some characters need to be changed sound weird and automated. Good read.
