In the heart of Glasgow’s West End, seven women unknowingly carry the legacy of an ancient sisterhood. Each of them, the descendant of a long-forgotten coven, has built a life for herself—running bookshops, cafés, florists, and patisseries—blissfully unaware of the magick woven into their blood.

Until now.

When Isla Macrae, a sceptical bookseller, stumbles upon an old grimoire and a series of cryptic messages left by her late grandmother, she unlocks a mystery that has been hidden for generations. As she and her newfound sisters begin to awaken their dormant powers, they must navigate love, self-discovery, and a growing danger that threatens not just them, but the city itself.

Each book in The Witches of Scotland series follows one of the seven women as she discovers her place in the coven, her unique magickal ability, and the romance she never saw coming. With cozy witchcraft, slow-burn romance, and the enchanting backdrop of Scotland, this spellbinding series is perfect for fans of paranormal romance, magical realism, and found-family stories.

Love, magick, and fate are calling.

Perfect for listeners who enjoy:
Witchy romance with a touch of mystery
Small-town vibes with a Scottish twist

There is no clear path to obtain book 2 to purchase or to listen. I will enjoy this series as the Segway makes fir an awesome entryway.

Grandmother must have had immense power.

This book feels like the set-up for a story, not a full narrative. It introduces an interesting and appealing premise (magic reawakening in 7 grandaughters of a Scottish coven) but leaves before building much backstory for the only two women we meet (such as, where are their mothers if the magic is passed on and why does the main character share her grandmother's last name if the magic is through the mother's line?) and ends on a cliffhanger that doesn't make sense given that the magic is just being discovered. So the ending that feels abrupt, disconnected and without any resolution. The reader is great, the character development had just started, but the ending felt like a cheap shot, like when a TV show leaves you in the lurch so you have to come back. I should have known given the length of the book, so that's on me. But since each of the books in the series are about a different character, I have no confidence that any backstory will be enough to be satisfying so I won't be continuing this series.

More like the intro than a full book
