The dark road of revenge

Received as an audio review copy from Story Origin, this is any honest review. Narrated by Charlie Albers, this is a quirky and different kind of story from this author. The characters of Ashleigh and Bryan weren't done many favors from the start as both are the kinds of individuals anyone would love to murder for how they see other people and correspondingly treat people because of it. Curtis, with his deep desire to get back at Bryan for all the abusive behavior he had to endure as a kid is the fantasy anyone with similar experiences would love to be able to live out regardless of any consequences that comes from it.

The more you uncover, the more complicated revenge is.

Highly recommended.

Funny thriller!

This was an interesting read! The situation was different than other thrillers, it was comedic, the characters were eccentric and it kept you guessing!

An interesting storyline with great narration

Another great psychological thriller with the Jessica Huntley touch. With quite a few twists & turns, this revenge thriller packs quite a punch until it gets to its shocking & unpredictable conclusion. The narrator really portrays the different characters in such a way that the listener gets to see their personalities, emotions, & feelings throughout the novel. Worth a listen

From the moment I turned this book on I was locked. The story was every bit entertaining and the narrator did a wonderful job of bringing the story to life. The narrators voice was easy to listen to. The story was very descriptive and quite engaging. The twist was a twist that kept on giving.

An exciting, fun psychological read

This is one of the most fun psychological thrillers I have ever read. The multiple POV's keep you on your toes and guessing. The characters draw you into worlds so easily and they are quite easy to love.
I miss Ashley Carmichael already! Her character development is so good. You know it is good writing when the author can make you feel strong emotions, whether it be loving or hating a character.
It is the first time I have read Huntley book but it definitely won't be the last. If she writes it, I will read it.
The narrator does a brilliant job with all the different POVs when it comes to differentiating them.
If you are a thriller girly and want an exciting fun ride, give this one a read.
