Well told

I disagree with another reviewer, I can see this happening. Doctors aren’t quick to get children tested for autism. Especially when the child is high functioning, they tell you the child will outgrow it. It’s hard as parent to know what is something to be concerned about and what to let go when you have professionals telling you that it’s fine.

Crazy

It’s crazy how social media and keeping up a facade is the new norm. It was a good story.

A surprising gem

This is a parents worst nightmare…and yet emotions have to be carefully curated as it’s on display for the world. The author did a great job of of weaving a story about a family dealing with the insanity of maintaining the “influencer veneer” while life crumbles around them.
You won’t regret this read…even while you dislike the main character.

Being a former small content creator myself I saw the fools gold for what it was so really was able to relate to the pull and push the main character felt as well as the struggles of the others (as I’ve seen how “that life” was robbing me of real life and saw the toll it took on my husband).

Awesome Narrator

Narrator was great. But the story itself was disappointing. It was well written and interesting just seemed like a waste of my time. I kept waiting for a lesson learned or some type of kindness. But no just some jerk being a jerk.

What awful people!

Kept my interest, but couldn’t stand the people in this book. I found it just sad. Narrator did a very good job, however.
