Narrated by Genevieve Gaunt. A Londoner born and bred, she started her acting career playing Pansy Parkinson in Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban before going on to read English at Cambridge where she graduated with a Double First. Recent work includes playing Marilyn Monroe in The Marilyn Conspiracy on stage and narrating The Spy Who Loved Me by Ian Fleming. Alongside acting on stage, screen, audiobooks and radio Genevieve writes for audiodrama (Thunderbirds), reviews books for The Spectator and interviews authors and creatives for literary festivals and in print for A Rabbit’s Foot magazine.

Directed by Tamsin Collison, an award-winning audio director with over 500 audiobooks and dramas to her credit, collaborating with artists from David Tennant to Archbishop Desmond Tutu. Recent highlights include a dramatisation of Jane Austen’s Mansfield Park, Thandiwe Newton's award-winning recording of Tolstoy’s War & Peace, and a new set of all-star readings of Ian Fleming’s James Bond novels. She also lectures at leading UK drama academies, including RADA and LAMDA. Excellent!

The world of Emma has expanded in a different dimension! Narrator did an excellent job with all the different voices. After reading through the entire series multiple times, I was hesitant to listen… but this audio book is very well done. I’m ready for volume 2!

Delightful and Magical

I was introduced to Miss Emma M Lion a couple of years ago and have since fallen in love with St. Crispian's (Emma's neighborhood). Beth's writing is absolutely beautiful (in these and her other stories - do yourself a favor and read them ALL). It feels as though she agonized over the selection of each word. She gives you a home among her characters who quickly become your best friends, quirky acquaintances, and detestable enemies. It's such a bright, cozy, and healing place to be.

I'm a huge fan of marking up my copies of each Emma volume, but had to purchase the accompanying audiobooks once I heard they were on the horizon. Genevieve's talent adds so much to these characters I thought I understood! It's St. Crispian's come to life! I love knowing what Emma's thistle-like voice sounds like. I'm excited to meet more of the voices she and Beth have created!

I love these books.

I think this was fantastically done. I wondered how they were going to manage putting this story into audiobook, but it was so good. I can’t wait to keep listening.

The narrator is perfection. She brings Emma and all her cohorts to life! Can’t stop listening!
