I really enjoyed listening to this. As a Physical Therapist Assistant, it helped me connect with the mindset of where my patients are who are dealing with chronic pain. Many times as a clinicians we may feel stumped and go through numerous exercises, hoping to comfort the patient and yield positive results.
I will definitely be implementing the breath-work component from the book. I hope that in making this change, it will help to center the patients’ mind and bring their awareness to be present.
Anyone who is suffering from chronic pain, I highly recommend this book. Phillipe’s information is digestible and helps you to be a productive part in changing your relationship to pain and how to you manage.

I usually get stuck in cycles where the pain takes over everything. This gave me ways to break it down and focus on what I can control. I’ve been using some of the sleep tips, and I actually rested better this week than I have in months. It’s not perfect, but I feel like I’m building a toolkit that works for me.

Helped my daily routines

This book felt different from the usual advice. It approaches chronic pain not just as a physical problem but as something that impacts every part of your life, offering strategies that feel holistic and genuinely empowering rather than just another set of exercises. Brad Snyder’s narration is incredibly calm and reassuring, which is perfect for such a sensitive topic. This is a must-listen for anyone living with chronic pain, and for the people who love them.
