As a monster smut romance author, my life is writing about creatures that only exist in my imagination ravaging humans and making them fall in love with them. It's a fantasy of mine to be ravaged by a monster, but they're not real. My collection of... erm, toys is as close as I'll get to being with a real live monster.
That is until I cross a barrier I had no idea exited and landed in a world that shouldn't be. There, I meet the most handsome orc I've ever laid eyes on. Orcs exist! And one of them wants to claim me as his.
Claimed by the Orc Emperor is Book 1 in a multi-author series, Orc Mate Selection. While it can be listened to as a stand-alone, this series has an overarching plot, so they are best listened to in order.

Axum, the Orc Emperor, has always scoffed at the ‘fated mate’ lore that his younger brother Nash believes in so vehemently. Until one day, a small human male breeches the portal into his world.
While there is a plot, a villain, and a happy ever after, this book is mostly fluff with the Orc Emperor crushing on his mate like his life depends upon it.
This book ends with Rainn and Axum readying their home for a visit with Nash and his newly found fated mate, which unbeknownst to them, happens to be Rainn’s best friend Kai.
Audiobook is excellent with the narrator voicing Axum just as one would expect an Orc to sound like.
You have to read book 2 and download the bonus chapters to read about the reunion between Rainn and Kai, and Nash’s reaction to it.
An enjoyable read with adult themes and for mature readers only. See the trigger warnings at the beginning of the book.
There are a few typos and grammatical errors throughout the book.
Monster smut…a genre you never knew you wanted to read.
