I loved the characters so much. And I mourned for them when some of them died.

This! This is why I love horror books!

First off, I’m 50. I was a kid during the time of this book series. Daemon nailed it! The nostalgia, the references, the freaking mention of a Buick Skylark! Once I got settled in and my popcorn finished popping in its tinfoil covered tray, I was hooked! This story, which happens to have a pinch of Invasion of the Body Snatchers in it, takes you on an incredible journey of folklore and family. The Ojanox hits on all the levels. It’s a true “Don’t too get attached to certain characters” kind of tale. It twists and turns, leading you on a quest to find out what is actually going on here. The kids shine and even though the parents do show some sort of 80’s dumb, they do show up and show out. This should be in every single horror fans collection! Period! Highly recommend! With Sas!

This is an AMAZING series!! MUST Read!

I cannot say enough great things about this series! It kept me interested and guessing. Really, the only issue was one particular voice that the narrator used for a character. It sounded too much like the voice for Venom (Marvel Movie). That was annoying, but the narrator did well otherwise and it didn’t not distract too much from the book.
