Slave Girls, a new series by bestselling author Louise Allen, reveals a shocking modern-day scandal of County Lines–the single most dangerous form of systematic child abuse prevalent today.

Charlotte—The Cutting Girl—comes from a family of high achievers. Her father is a politician, and her mother is a senior medical officer.

When she moves from her prestigious boarding school she is groomed by a girl two years her senior, spiralling into a cycle of drugs, self-harm, and sexual abuse.

When she goes missing, five other girls do, too. A nationwide media campaign sets out to track them down, but can Charlotte ever escape the gang behind the abduction and abuse?

A great fiction story to inform about real world threats to our young people. Ignorance is a threat to the safety of our children.

I love Louise Allen’s works and this one was remarkable! It’s raw without being vile, the story is heart wrenching and informative. I look forward to the next.

Eye opening!

The narrator's British accent was much too heavy. As an American, I usually enjoy the British accent, but this one was too heavy. I really had a hard time understanding. also I have never listened to one of Louise's books that I did not love! But this one was too different, and I really didn't care for it. I'll skip the rest of this series.

Tried to love it

The narrator is practically incomprehensible. I’m very disappointed. I’m a Louise Allen fan. Narrator slurs sounds together, terrible enunciation, speaks through her nose. How was she ever chosen to be the narrator?? The narrators of the other Louise Allen books are fine.

Terrible narration. Ruins listen.
