Secrets of Ashland Lake

This isn’t investigative journalist Christy Hancock’s first missing person’s case; it’s not even the first one in her family. Spurred by a frantic voicemail from her Aunt Molly, Christy travels back to rural McClain County, West Virginia, to the lake house where she used to spend summers with her cousin Rob before his unexplained disappearance twelve years ago. Much to her surprise, she arrives to discover that Molly has disappeared in an eerily similar fashion—without a trace. The mysterious new neighbor Peter Sinkowski offers to help, but Christy senses he’s hiding a few secrets of his own. It doesn’t help that Peter obviously goes out of his way to avoid the local sheriff. Now, Christy must determine who she can trust as she races to find her beloved aunt and unravel the secrets of Ashland Fishing Lodge, an unassuming tourist destination that appears to be inexplicably at the center of it all.
