He insulted her at the assembly and paid for it with his heart. He had a second chance when they met unexpectedly at a coaching inn.

When the wealthiest bachelor in Derbyshire insults her at the village assembly, Elizabeth Bennet walks away, and she continues to keep him at arm’s length until the Netherfield party returns to London.

But Mr. Darcy has unknowingly left his heart behind, and when fate brings her back into his life, he is determined to make her his own.

When the youngest Bennet daughter drags the family to the brink of ruin, Mr. Bennet finally takes decisive action to safeguard their future. Meanwhile, Mrs. Bennet is equally determined to preserve the estate, especially from falling into the hands of a distant cousin far too disagreeable to tempt any of her daughters.

This heartfelt Pride and Prejudice variation centers on the enduring love between Elizabeth Bennet and Mr. Darcy, whose relationship unfolds with passion and emotional depth. Though Elizabeth and Darcy are the heart of the story, readers will also glimpse the evolving lives and fortunes of all five Bennet sisters as they navigate a world of uncertainty, duty, and romance.

This version is clean with gentle innuendo, closed door;

CAUTION: Readers who prefer not to delve into the intimacies of marriage may not enjoy this re-telling. The beloved couple grows more physically intimate during their brief betrothal and after marriage, though they honor the marriage vow and wait until after their wedding to consummate the relationship. The innuendo remains tasteful and modest throughout.

Features:

This variation explores how much better things might have turned out if Mr. Bennet had simply exerted himself on behalf of his daughters. It was deeply satisfying to see him reflect on what was best for his family and then follow through. I also loved watching Elizabeth and Darcy’s love story unfold over time. When I first read Pride and Prejudice as a teen, I always wished Jane Austen had written about the marriage itself. This retelling delivers on that wish.

This was my first time reading a Jane Austen variation and I was very impressed. I loved the way Michael’s reimagined both Mr. And Mrs. Bennet giving them new depth and earning them greater admiration from the reader. I look forward to more from this author.

Refreshing approach to a classic story

this was on one of the must read pride and prejudice variations so maybe my expectations were too high. the computer generated voice was a complete fail. I need soften voices for different characters. I need intonation. Elizabeth was perfect. I love Lizzy but amen some authors make her perfect, I have an issue. she has EVERY accomplishment. EVERY man wants her. Darcy isn't bad. he's a romantic man in love that wants to kill every man that looks at little bosom. the story is a little too neat and tidy for me. I do not need a ton of angst at least let one problem lay longer than a chapter.

I was left wanting more.

21st century societal norms just don’t work in a 19th century set novel. Either set it in 21st century or keep it true to original’s timeline.
A.I. needs more time before it doesn’t make errors and can learn where emphasis belongs in sentences.

Jarring. 21st century norms in a novel set in early 19th century???

I don’t usually write reviews but I couldn’t help but say something. I get changing up the story and making it your own, but this was just silly. The Author took irritating characters and made them actually terrible people, made fun characters and made them rude and completely threw one very important character by the wayside.
The only reason I gave a rating as high as I did was because Kitty and Mary got better representation.

Ruined main characters needlessly
