Good stories, not so great narration

I loved 7 out of the 8 characters in these books. Diana from book 3 wasn’t really my cup of tea but that’s just me.

The narration is what really got me and luckily the stories were good so I suffered through the male narration. But geez, how can a narrator not have any emotions? How can spicy scenes seem like he was reading off a recipe? Normally a voice actor draws me in and I am captivated by their inflection and emotion, but this was a narrator not a voice actor. Considering this is an audio book I was very disappointed.

Finished all of it because I wasn’t wasting a credit but will stay away from any books narrated by this specific person. The female voice actors were wonderful!!!
