Great build. Suspenseful

It was a slow build. Sorta pushed through in the beginning because I bought it, so I definitely didn't think I would end up liking it. But by the end I was sold and ready Book 2!

love the twists & turns.

I hate the cliffhanger but overall, I enjoyed the story. I wish there were better physical descriptions of the characters and clothes, I had some trouble imagining them. I enjoyed the narrator, my only complaint is that I've become spoiled expecting male narrators to speak the male voices. Hearing the female narrator try to do a male voice made it hard to take the seriousness of the male character. I look forward to the sequel.

single narration that kicks behind

wonderful job, story was refreshing and addictive. Characters are developing nicely and side ones will get their moment into destorying evul ones. Can't wait for second one.

I Need More NOW!!!

This story has enraptured me from the description, to the first chapter, all the way to the last chapter.
I was late to work because I simply wanted to keep listening.
I never wanted a year to end so quickly so I can hurry and get my grubby fingers on book two and three.
I love the performance. She did really well, my only wish is that there was a male reader too. I love the dramatized stories, but her male voice was executed well.
The cliffhanger is so delicious and infuriating and…. I have no words. I actually screamed. Like a real scream. Kathryn has gained a lifelong fan solely based on this book alone.

Refreshing!!

The FMC is not a helpless 20 year old. Truly morally gray characters. The main characters make decisions based on their goals. Not just because they’re in love and they’re trying to make sure their love happens all the time and every second of every page.

High octane, fun plot!!
