Predictable most of the time with some of the old charm

The amount of eye-rolling I had with this book, had me so disappointed. I loved the Beaumont Series, all of the books. The Next Generation, can’t say the same.
Most of them were ok, but Elle’s story and this last book were the worst.
It’s the hard to believe storyline for Elle for me. Big time cut throat music manager at 19/20, so unrealistic. I loved when Quinn was first introduced and the previous book when he found love with Nola. Even this one where something was missing and he found himself and love again.
What I don’t like is Nelson Hobbs narration, Never been a fan. He reads like I would imagine someone imitating a male superhero. It’s the same all the time. His sentences don’t flow as if someone is speaking. At least with the other books I was able to get a break from him when Stephanie Rose would read for the females.
The over explanation. It goes on and on and if you have read the other books, you don’t need a back story or a recap in every book. Or just the ridiculous amount of pointless explanation about how a green room looks or whatever for example. It goes past the point of creating an image that I find myself zoning out.
Finally, the last part that made me roll my eyes aside from the cheesy lines, was how unbelievable the fame for Sinful Distraction was. Granted Quinn is the son of Harrison who was in this big time band with Liam in 42 West, but they are a start up bad and it was annoying how much Quinn and Elle reference their fame and all the perks. It wasn’t that much in your face with the others. The blackout concert, *EYE-ROLL* as if it was the most amazing thing ever. Share some of the verses from the songs, if you are going to write how the concert goes were moved and it changed them.
What I did like. I enjoyed Quinn finding himself and finding love again with the “right” person. His bond with his family. His struggles. Share more of that instead of this glorified, I’m super famous, people just fall at my family’s feet, and cater to us. Or the parent’s perfect relationship and life.
In the end, this series has lost my interest, but I have to read the books as they come out. Can’t not finish something.
