Sweet, low angst read

Sweet, charming, endearing, and heartfelt- all the things I love about Kaylee Ryan! I'm loving the sweet yet sexy vibe of this series- melts me completely. Kaylee is my go to for low angst, charming, and tender love stories, and this series is become a fast favorite!

This is what you've come to expect from Kaylee- a bit of instalove, fast moving down bad hero, a sweet heroine who is hesitant to let him in, and here one of my fav tropes of hers- a single parent and cute kids. This one is a bit heavier than the others (I didn't check the content warnings, but there are definitely some triggers to the background story to this one)- so it's one of the few time I wished we'd had a bit more length/meat the story because there is a lot to unpack here. It felt respectfully handled but just not dug deep- but that wouldn't really fit her vibe or the series, it still stays pretty light.

The hero is down bad and it's super sweet. VERY slow burn and lighter on spice (given the background story that makes sense), and overall just super sweet. Narration was solid. Loved the female narrator and the male narrator was great to listen to as well. Wish it were duet- didn't always love the male narrators female voices but loved his regular narration.

Heart-melting Good

I've already read the book and loved it! Listening to it was great. Thr narrationwas great except for the male voice doing the twins. A little cringy, but it didn't keep from listening to all the magic of this book.

Another sweet romance by Kaylee Ryan

I love Kaylee Ryan’s brand of low angst, sweet romance. Forest is a swoon worthy tatted teddy bear of a man that created a home and security for his second sister at a very young age. Now that his sister is grown and married to his close friend, it’s sweet how Forest needs someone to care for. Kaylee Ryan is such a comfort read. She always delivers.
