On an isolated farm deep in the New Hampshire woods, Brian Davidson spends his days caring for his brother Bo, who suffers from a childhood head injury, and their ailing mom. Together, the brothers have managed to live a peaceful life, but the shadows around their home have begun to shift.

Edge of your seat!

What happens when someone you love gets involved with the wrong people? Brian and his brother Beau are grown now but they are forever changed because of something that happened in their childhood, something that is still looking for them, something that won't stop until they have what they want. The fight if their lives is coming for them and they don't have much time, if any, to prepare for what's about to happen. This book had me on the edge of my seat, wanting to listen to chapter after chapter. You need to add this book to your collection. You will not be disappointed. I have read several of John Durgin's books and they just keep getting better and better.

Perfect start to the Halloween season

While not about the holiday, The Devil In The Next Room is the perfect start to the spooky season. It’s like of mice and men meets misery meets a murder cult. With creepy vibes from the start, and—in classic John Durgin fashion—once he steps on the gas there’s no brake until the very end.
Narrator was perfect, loved the tone he set and how rich in personality he was able to make each character.
